Carrie: The Musical

Savannah Mateyka was the sound designer and audio engineer during the process of this show, including live mixing during tech week and the run of the show in October of 2022. With Carrie comes (fake) blood and Savannah had to come up with a way to protect the microphone from said (fake) blood. She came up with making a backwards funnel out of medical tape and a part of a small pipette with the help of one of her colleagues. This helped protect the element from the (fake) blood. She also had her A2 standing by to grab the pack and element off the actress when she finally went off-stage.
